Ocean Blue & Ocean Sands Golf and Beach Resort

This 5-star, all inclusive resort is especially designed to make your Caribbean dream vacation come true. The Ocean Blue & Ocean Sands Resort is located in the heart of Bávaro (Punta Cana), very close to the White Sands Golf Course and the Bávaro shopping area and only a few steps away from the most breathtaking beach in the Dominican Republic.

ROOMS: The resort consists of 374 beautifully decorated suites which are divided into Junior Suites, Junior Deluxe Suites and Honeymoon Suites. All suites have a balcony (Honeymoon Suites all have a fantastic ocean view), a beautifully decorated living area with a sofa bed, air condition, 2 queen size beds or 1 king size bed (Honeymoon suites all have king size beds), a large marble finish bathroom with 2 hand basins, magnifying mirror and amenities kit, hair dryer, Jacuzzi (the Honeymoon Suites have an outdoor terrace with Jacuzzi and an outdoor shower), ceiling fan, mini fridge*, coffee maker, telephone, iron and board, safety deposit box, and cable television (a DVD player and a clock radio are also included in the Honeymoon Suites). 

SERVICES: In addition, the Deluxe Junior Suites have the following services included: Private check-in and check-out, VIP guest identification bracelet, fruit basket upon arrival, fresh fruits delivered to the room daily, 24 hour a la carte room service, gourmet dinner on the beach, one complimentary dinner at the Bucanero restaurant (seafood), motorized water sports (1 hour per person), hobby cat type sailing with captain (30 min), bathrobe and slippers, personalized concierge service, aroma therapy massage (30 min), beach towels, nightly turn down service, horse back riding (30 min) and selected Dominican cigars (3 per room, per week). 

In addition to the extra services included in the Deluxe Junior Suites, the Honeymoon Suites have the following extra services included: Private check-in and late check out, a romantic gala dinner for 2 at the Bucanero restaurant (seafood) or at the Chef’s Table & Wine Cellar El Bodegon, breakfast in the room the morning after with sparkling wine, private Spanish lesson and Merengue lesson, late room cleaning service and a romantic horse back riding at sunset (30 min).

* Soft drinks are included in the Junior Suites / soft drinks and beer is included in the Deluxe Junior Suites / soft drinks, beer and premium drinks are included in the Honeymoon Suites. 

RESTAURANTS & BARS: At the Ocean Blue and Ocean Sands Resort, you can enjoy the best of the local and international cuisine in one of the nine different restaurants including: La Tortuga main buffet (breakfast, lunch and dinner), Arenal Beach Restaurant and Snack (lunch and snacks), La Casa de mi Abuela (Dominican a la carte), Margarita (Mexican a la carte), I Mascherati Di Venezia (Italian a la carte), Route 66 (American a la carte), La Brasa (Caribbean Grill a la carte), Bucanero (Seafood a la carte) or El Bodegon Chef’s Table & Wine Cellar (a la carte). The resort also has 10 different bars including the very cozy café Mike’s Coffee & Tea Cup. 

ACTIVITIES: All day round the entertainment staff is ready to show you a good time with a range of exciting activities. Take an aerobics class on the beach, play a game of beach volleyball, go snorkelling, take a scuba diving lesson at the pool or enjoy a game of bowling at the bowling centre, etc. The resort also offers babysitting (additional charge), a Kids Club for children ages 4 to 12 and a Teens Club for teenagers ages 13 to 17. At night you may try your luck at the casino located inside the resort. 

GOLF: Golf players have the opportunity of playing at the White Sands Golf Course right next door to the resort. The first 9 holes designed by six time Spanish champion Jose “Pepe” Gancedo opened in 2004, and the last 9 will open in 2006. Guests staying at the Ocean Blue & Ocean Sands Resort can play this course for a reduced green fee price. 

WEDDINGS: As a guest at the Ocean Blue & Ocean Sands Resort, the bride and groom will have a free wedding at the resort. The free wedding package includes: A wedding planner, a civil ceremony at the location of your choice (on the beach, in the tropical gardens or by the lake), a beautiful silk bouquet for the bride, a silk boutonniere for the groom, ironing of the groom’s tuxedo and the bride’s gown, a bottle of champagne, a wedding cake for 10 people, a romantic candle light dinner on the beach for the newly weds, late check-out, preferential location of the hotel room according to the room category reserved, 10% discount on all SPA services and nightly turn down service.
